The Trail
The challenge runs in multiple stages, each unlocking the one after it. Crack the clue in front of you, and the next gate opens; stall, and the trail holds you where you are.
Every school sends two representatives — and this is the arena they cannot skip. A multi-stage digital trail of clues and challenges, each one locking the next until it is solved. A test of logic, technical skill and sheer speed.
Grid-Lock is the one event no delegation can sit out. The two student representatives each school sends to Technovation '26 take it on together — a chain of locked digital stages where solving one clue is the only way to reach the next.
The challenge runs in multiple stages, each unlocking the one after it. Crack the clue in front of you, and the next gate opens; stall, and the trail holds you where you are.
It rewards a rare mix — logical reasoning to read each puzzle, technical skill to work the tools, and the speed to stay ahead of every other school on the board.
Participation is compulsory for all schools. Your two representatives must remain present throughout the fest, accompanied by their Teacher-in-Charge.
The shape of the run is below. The actual clues, tools and targets stay sealed until the event begins on the day.
Reps assemble, rules are read, and the opening clue is released to every team at once. The race begins the moment the first gate appears.
An early puzzle that rewards clear thinking over raw tooling — read it right and the next lock yields.
A challenge that puts your technical skill to work on the device in front of you. Precision counts as much as pace.
The trail tightens. Stages come faster and the gap between schools is decided on who keeps their nerve.
The closing stage seals the run. Order of completion and accuracy across the trail settle the final placements.
Grid-Lock is run by the very students who carry your school's flag for the day.
Each participating school is represented by two student representatives, who must remain present throughout the fest and are accompanied by a Teacher-in-Charge. Those same two reps form your Grid-Lock team.
Because the trail is digital from the first gate to the last, devices are mandatory. Wi-Fi may not be provided on campus, so reps should carry their own mobile data for any stage that needs a connection.
Report at 7:30 AM sharp · in school uniform · with a valid School ID and your Teacher-in-Charge.
Grid-Lock is mandatory for every participating school — so name your two representatives and register before the day.
